Spring 2005
Seminars in

BME 365.01
Time:
Location:
Wednesdays, 3:45-5:00 PM
Bryan Research Building, Rm 162
(atrium conference room)

MEDICAL PHYSICS is the application of the concepts and methods of physics to the diagnosis and treatment of human disease. As you can see from the current and past schedules, medical physicists come from many fields including radiology, BME, physics, radiation safety, radiation oncology, etc. This seminar series has been running since spring 2003.

Students: The seminar is now offered as BME 365.01, co-instructed by Joseph Lo and Ehsan Samei of the Duke Advanced Imaging Labs (DAILabs) and Duke University Medical Physics Program. Attendance is generally required for all DAILabs students and first year NIH training grant recipients. We meet once a week for a lecture. Grading will be based on participation in discussion and a short quiz at the end of each seminar. Note that the class starts at 3:45, not 3:05 as shown in ACES.

For fall 2005, this seminar class will have its own permanent course number as BME 251 and MP 251.

For more information, please email Joseph Lo.
