Leith Rankine, MS 2013, accepted a medical physics faculty position as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is excited to be back in the Triangle and working with Dr. Shiva Das. His role with the department is 80% clinical and 20% research; he plans to continue research in the area of motion management in radiotherapy and begin new investigations into Dose Volume Histogram-based patient specific quality assurance and the role of combined Positron Emission Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging in radiotherapy.
