Oldham and Harris Selected AAPM Education Symposium Finalists

Faculty member Dr. Mark Oldham and PhD student Wendy Harris (advisor: Dr. Fang Fang Yin) have been selected as finalists for the AAPM “Innovation in Medical Physics Education” symposium. Their work involved developing a new simulation tool to teach linear accelerator physics in the Radiation Therapy course. Wendy, who was the teaching assistant for the course, has been invited to the awards ceremony at the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) 58th Annual Meeting, in Washington DC, on Aug 1, 2016, where winners will be announced.
