Rankine Paper Highlighted in PMB and Medical Physics Web

Leith Rankine MS, Class of 2013, just published a paper in Physics in Medicine and Biology that has been selected by the journal as a “Featured Article.” The paper is titled “Investigating end-to-end accuracy of image guided radiation treatment delivery using a micro-irradiator,” and addresses the issue of precise targeting of small-volume radiation treatments. Rankine performed the research during a summer scholarship in the lab of program faculty member Mark Oldham. Rankine and Oldham were also interviewed for a Medical Physics Web article titled “Assessing micro-irradiator accuracy.” Rankine is now a resident at Washington University in St. Louis.
