Ren Newly Elected AAPM Fellow

Lei Ren, PhD (Radiation Oncology, Class’2009) was elected to be a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in January 2020. The category of Fellow has been established to honor AAPM members who have made significant contributions through service to the AAPM, advancement of medical physics knowledge based upon independent original research, medical physics educational activities, or leadership in the practice of medical physics. Dr. Ren was recognized by his original research in image guided radiation therapy, educational activities in training medical physics students and physicists, and his distinguished services to AAPM, including serving as the therapy scientific program director of the AAPM Annual Meeting. The Fellow will be awarded at the Awards Ceremony and Reception during the upcoming AAPM Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia in July 2020.
