Congratulations to Dr. Anuj Kapadia (Radiology) and Dr. Joel Greenberg (Duke ECE) on receiving a $200K grant to progress their research in the use of x-ray imaging in security and medical applications for their project “Characterizing, Modeling, and Mitigating Texturing in X-ray Diffraction Imaging” from Awareness and Localization of Explosives Related Threats (ALERT). This collaborative effort between Duke and Elon University aims to model material-specific texturing for improving the accuracy of X-ray scatter detection and imaging.
