James Dobbins PhD, Program Director Emeritus and President of the American Association of Medical Physicists (AAPM), chairs the “President’s Symposium: The Importance of Creativity in Science” on July 26 at the AAPM 63rd Annual Meeting. He is joined by Mary Mahoney MD, President of RSNA, and Laura Dawson MD, President of ASTRO, as well as a panel of leading scientists in the medical physics field. During the program, attendees will learn “how creativity has played an essential role in the history of science and medicine; where will medical physics go in the coming decades; how individual innovators have cultivated creativity in their own careers and what needs to be done to ensure that we as a field lay the groundwork for creativity that will build our future.”
