Chen Paper Makes Cover of Medical Physics

The hits keep coming! Continuing an impressive trend started with the papers of Leith Rankine (see news 11/11/2013) and Anuj Kapadia (9/17/2013), we have more good news to report. PhD candidate Baiyu Chen’s paper was selected as the cover and sole Feature Article (out of 60+ other papers) for the November issue of the Medical Physics journal. Her paper is entitled “Volumetric quantification of lung nodules in CT with iterative reconstruction (ASiR and MBIR)” and addresses the hot topic of how these popular iterative reconstruction algorithms affect our ability to monitor the progression of lung cancer. This research was performed under the supervision of Dr. Ehsan Samei, and co-authors include Dr. James Colsher and PhD student Marthony Robins.
