Program Director Jim Dobbins said today, “Dean Nancy Andrews announced this morning that Mark Dewhirst, the Gustavo S. Montana Professor of Radiation Oncology and one of our medical physics faculty members, has been appointed as the new Associate Dean for Faculty Mentoring. Dr. Dewhirst won the Mentorship Award in our graduate program in 2009, and has a long record of successful mentoring at various levels. He is an ideal fit for this new position, and I think we can take great pride in knowing that a faculty member from our program is taking on such an important role in the medical center.”
