Imaging Physics Residency Program Receives Accreditation

CAMPEP has granted full accreditation for the Imaging Physics Residency Program at the Department of Radiology, Duke University Medical Center. Congratulations to Mark Oldham, David Kirsch, and Terry Yoshizumi whose paper received the Farrington Daniels Award for 2015, awarded each year to the best paper in radiation dosimetry published in Medical Physics. In conjunction with our Medical Physics Graduate Program, the existing residency in radiation oncology, and the Clinical Imaging Physics Group (CIPG) of Duke Hospital, this latest success adds an important component to the overall medical physics education at Duke. Dr. Ehsan Samei serves as the director of this residency program, in addition to also directing our graduate program and CIPG.
