At the Annual Retreat of the Duke Radiation Oncology & Imaging Program (ROIP), PhD student Yushi Chang (advisor Dr. Lei Ren) and her co-authors (Dr. Fang-Fang Yin, Dr. W. Paul Segars, and Dr. Lei Ren) received the TOP 3 Poster Award for their poster titled “Creation of an ultra-realistic extended Multi-contrast Anthropomorphic (XMAN) digital phantom using cycle-generative adversarial network (Cycle-GAN)”. The purpose of the study was to build a realistic digital phantom by synthesizing detailed anatomical structures and textures into the existing XCAT phantoms using cycle-GAN algorithm.
